#শুভ জন্মদিন, #Happy Birthday আমার দাদা। আজ 30th July,2022 তাঁর ৪০তম জন্মদিন। ছোটবেলার কত স্মৃতি আজ মনে পরে যাচ্ছে। চোর-পুলিশ খেলা ঠেকে শুরু করে ঘরে দুপুরে তেতুলের আচার চুরি করে খাওয়া কত কিছুই না করেছি আমরা। আমি ছিলাম ভীতু, তাই সবকিছুই তাঁর প্ল্যান ছিল। আজ মনে পড়ে যাচ্ছে ছোটবেলায় একসাথে স্কুলে যাওয়ার কথা, একসাথে হোম-ওয়ার্ক করতে বসা, একসাথে খাওয়া, বিকালে খেলতে যাওয়া, শেয়ার করে গল্পের বই পড়া, রবিবারের সকালে DD National এর অনুষ্ঠান দেখা, ক্যাসেট চালিয়ে গান শুনা, পূজোর নূতন জামা জুতো পরে প্যান্ডেলে প্যান্ডেলে ঘোরা, বইমেলায় গিয়ে নূতন বই কেনার আনন্দ.... আরও অনেক কিছু... । নন্টে ফন্টের কমিকস আর টুনটুনির গল্পের বই, কখনো বা গা ছমছমে ভূতের গল্প, মাঝে মধ্যে রহস্যময় ডিটেকটিভ গল্পের বই...আমার ছোটবেলায় সঙ্গী সাথী..... এখনো এই বইগুলো সাজানো আছে আমাদের বুকসেল্ফে। Alif laila, Malgudi days, Shaktiman, The Junglee Book (Mowgli), Chandrakanta, Bomkesh Bokshi, Surabhi, Circus, Bikram Betal --- সবই মনে আছে। কিন্তু আজ আর সেদিন নেই। কোথায় ...
6th june 2022, today is my daughter's first day in school for grade 1. It's a memorable day for her and me. She is super excited and happy to wear new dress, make new friends, flip through the pages of new books, wait for the school bus and enter the school premises. Unlike other days today she wakes up early at 5:45am, takes bath, have breakfast🍳☕🍞, dresses up by her own and ready to start this new chapter of life. I am also enjoying this phase, "All the best dear, whatever you do.. Be happy always" .
First day of School
Though today is her 1st day of grade 1 but it isn't first day of school . We performed a ritual called "Hate Khori" on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami Or Saraswati puja for her on Feb'2019.
After that we sent her to a day care for 2 months at the age of 2.
In June 2019, she was admitted to a play school. I still remember the very first day when she was little bit nervous, and I was also. I was thinking that how she'll adjust without mama. I was encouraging her.
The moment we entered the school, one teacher came & took her inside. I was standing outside for one and half hour. By this time I heard the loud sound of crying of other children. Sometimes I checked with the teacher "how is she, is everything all right?" They informed "she is playing silently". Thank god she wasn't crying.
After one week of settling period, she was interested to go to school. In Mar'2020 she spent 8 months in school. She had lots of masti. She celebrated Father's Day, Mother's Day, Grand parents day, World environment day, Yoga day, Orange Yellow & Red color day, Independence day, Teachers day, Christmas Day, Sankranti, Republic day, School Annual day and more.
It was Mar'2020 when we came to know about COVID-19 and lockdown. On the evening of 24th March 2020, the Government of India ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days, limiting movement of the entire population of India as a preventive measure against the COVID-19 pandemic . Schools were closed and there was no information on reopening. My daughter appeared for the online exams.
In June 2020 she was promoted to lower nursery but there was no excitement on her face. She was going through Virtual classes, online projects and virtual celebrations. She was unhappy and sometimes not interested to seat before the computer for long 2-3 hours. But somehow we managed all these and late 2021 we hade a hope of school reopening. At that time she was in Upper nursery. I was happy but that did not take long. Soon Omicron variant came to India. But Omicron infection generally causes less severe disease than infection with prior variants. Finally, government has decided to reopen the schools for new academic year.
Finally the day has arrived, where children can breathe freely....
For my daughter.....It is amazing seeing you progress in life. It is time to put on that new school uniform and get ready to learn.I wish you a wonderful year!
